Street Scene Galleries combines your experiences of the French Quarter today with the Vieux Carré of yesteryear. Continuing the dream of their founder, the late Sylvia K. Yike, they present to you Woodgraph – Sculptured Prints, an art as unique as the city that inspired them. It is their goal to help you savor your New Orleans experience with your very own Woodgraph-Sculptured Print. In your home it will create a lifetime of visual pleasure and fond memories of New Orleans. [1]

Your remembrance of New Orleans would not be complete without the incredible flavor of the Vieux Carré. Known for it’s spicy food, unique architecture, and colorful legends, it’s hard to find an art that embraces them all. Sylvia K realized he would have to create a special art to combine all these varied aspects of New Orleans History. Woodgraph – Sculptured Prints capture the essence of the Vieux Carré‘s architecture along with the history of it’s people, with the visual of a painting and the depth and textures of a wood carving. This is why we consider Woodgraph – Sculptured Prints to be “The Art of New Orleans.” [2]

In your home you will notice the mood of the Woodgraph-Sculptured Print changes each day. This is the result of the depth of the chisel cut, as the light changes from morning, day, and into evening, so does the shadowing of your scene. Your Woodgraph – Sculptured Print will be bright and vibrant at one time and shadowy and mysterious at others, becoming your personal window to New Orleans. [3]
